The Climate Resilience Series: Local Residents workshop

  • Rideau Heights Community Center 85 Maccauley Street Kingston, ON, K7K 2V8 Canada (map)

The climate has changed, and this presents severe challenges for local Kingston residents. In partnership with Kingston Frontenac Public Library, and with support from Wawanesa’s Climate
Initiative Champions grant we are holding two free 90-min workshops for local residents.

From the workshop you’ll learn to:

  • Understand today’s risks: See how current climate impacts like extreme heat, poor air quality, major storms, and flooding are already affecting Kingston’s neighbourhoods. You’ll learn practical steps to keep your household safe and prepared.

  • Prepare for tomorrow: Get clear pictures of what Kingston’s climate is expected to look like in the coming years, and what those changes mean for your home, your health, and your community.

  • Build resilience: Walk away with the guidance, checklist, and tools you need to create your own household emergency plan and strengthen your neighbourhood’s ability to respond and recover during climate-related events.

Registration is free and opens 3 weeks before the workshop starts. Register here: The Climate Resilience Series - Kingston Frontenac Public Library
