The Sustainable Kingston Youth Awards celebrate the young people who are helping build a greener, more resilient Kingston. Whether through environmental stewardship, climate action, community leadership, or innovative sustainability projects, these awards recognize youth who are making a meaningful difference in their schools, campuses, and communities.

Young people continue to demonstrate that age is no barrier to creating positive change. The Sustainable Kingston Youth Awards are an opportunity to celebrate their creativity, leadership, and commitment to building a more sustainable future.

Youth Sustainability Champion Award (Postsecondary)

Recognizes a postsecondary student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in sustainability through their campus, research, volunteer work, or the broader community. This award celebrates students whose projects, initiatives, or advocacy have created meaningful environmental or social impact while inspiring others to take action.

Youth Sustainability Champion Award (Under 18)

Recognizes a young person, or small group of young people, who have shown creativity, leadership, and a commitment to making their school or community more sustainable. This award celebrates youth whose actions, big or small, are creating positive environmental change and inspiring those around them.

The Youth Sustainability Awards will be presented alongside the Sustainable Kingston Awards on September 16 in Springer Market Square, celebrating sustainability leaders of all ages from across our community.
