2026 Sustainable Kingston Awards
The Sustainable Kingston Awards celebrate the individuals, businesses, organizations, schools, and community groups that are helping build a greener, more resilient Kingston. Each year, these awards recognize the people and projects whose leadership, innovation, and commitment to sustainability are creating meaningful environmental change across our community.
Nominations are now open for the 2026 Sustainable Kingston Awards, taking place on September 16. Whether someone is advancing climate action, promoting environmental stewardship, leading sustainability initiatives in the workplace, or inspiring positive change through community action, we want to hear about them.
Nomination Categories:
Community Group/Grassroots Sustainability Award: Recognizes volunteer-driven or community-led initiatives that bring people together to create positive environmental change. This award celebrates projects that strengthen community connections, inspire local action, and make a meaningful contribution to sustainability in Kingston.
Environmental Impact Award: Recognizes an individual, business, or organization that has introduced an innovative product, service, project, or process resulting in measurable environmental benefits. This award celebrates creative approaches that reduce environmental impact while demonstrating leadership and inspiring others to adopt sustainable practices.
Circular Economy Award: Recognizes an individual, business, or organization that is helping keep materials and resources in use for longer through waste reduction, reuse, repair, refurbishment, or refill initiatives. This award celebrates practical solutions that reduce waste while encouraging more sustainable consumption and production.
