This year, Kingston’s annual community cleanup “Pitch-In Kingston” is taking place from April 15th to April 22nd!
We encourage community groups, individuals and businesses to celebrate the start of spring by cleaning up waste from local parks, streets, and shorelines.
Participants are encouraged to register for Pitch-In Kingston. Check back regularly for more information and Pitch-In updates.
Pitch-In Kingston is expanding to celebrate our shorelines and waterways!
As Kingston is closely tied to the water- historically, geographically, and culturally, Pitch-In Kingston will honour this relationship by including a focus on cleaning up our aquatic system.
This year, we are collaborating with the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up and participants would focus on cleaning up waterways as part of their efforts. Those who are interested are further requested to collect data about the waste that they find and collect.
Our goal for 2018 is to have 4,000 people participating in Pitch-In Kingston - an increase from almost 3,000 people participating last year.
